Can you introduce yourself in a few words and tell us what you were doing before joining us?
Hi, I’m Lars Vermeiren, a Business Analyst with a strong focus on digital transformation.
My role is to help organizations and teams clarify their objectives, simplify complex ways of working, and redesign processes to make them more efficient and user-friendly.
I translate business needs into clear, structured, and actionable requirements – bridging the gap between strategy and execution.
Before joining DynaFin Consulting, I spent more than four years at Digitaal Vlaanderen (2021–2025), where I worked on large-scale public-sector digital transformation programs.
My work ranged from building business cases and aligning diverse stakeholders to identifying process improvements and mapping end-to-end user journeys.
The common thread in all these projects? Delivering better, more accessible digital services for citizens by combining structure, collaboration, and innovation.
What made you decide to join our company rather than another one?
To be honest, I wasn’t actively looking for a new opportunity when DynaFin Consulting reached out to me.
But I was curious, so I accepted the invitation to have a conversation and that conversation made all the difference.
From the very first interview, I felt genuinely listened to. The discussions were open, transparent, and concrete about how the company works and what it expects. What really stood out to me was the early recognition of my expertise and the trust shown in my potential contribution.
It didn’t feel like a standard recruitment process. It felt like a real dialogue.
I quickly sensed that DynaFin Consulting was a place where I could both contribute meaningfully and continue growing professionally.
What type of topic or mission excites you the most?
I’m particularly energized by projects that sit at the intersection of process redesign and customer-centric digital services.
I enjoy bringing clarity to complex processes making them understandable for all stakeholders, from business teams to end users.
Turning fragmented workflows into coherent, intuitive end-to-end journeys is something I find both intellectually stimulating and highly impactful.
For me, digital transformation isn’t just about technology. It’s about designing better experiences and creating tangible value for the people who use those services every day.
What has positively surprised you the most since you joined us?
What positively surprised me the most is how approachable and welcoming everyone has been.
Managers and directors are easy to talk to, accessible, and genuinely interested in understanding who you are and what you bring to the table. There’s no sense of hierarchy creating distance. Conversations are natural and constructive.
From day one, colleagues across different teams reached out, offered support, and made sure I felt integrated. That collaborative mindset (the willingness to help and find solutions together) really stood out to me and confirmed that I made the right choice.
Outside of work, what really energizes you or helps you recharge?
Outside of work, I recharge through a mix of activity and downtime.
I’m passionate about sports, especially CrossFit, which gives me both structure and energy. I also enjoy exploring new restaurants and discovering good wine. I appreciate moments that combine quality, curiosity, and shared experiences.
Spending time with family and friends is essential for me. And when I want to slow down, I unwind with a good movie or a book. It’s all about balance.
If you had one piece of advice for someone who is hesitating to join us, what would it be?
If you’re hesitating, my advice would be simple: have the conversation and don’t be afraid to take the leap.
You’ll be welcomed with open arms. People are genuinely supportive, and there’s a strong “let’s find a solution together” mindset across the organization.
If you’re looking for a place where your voice is heard, where collaboration is real, and where you can grow while contributing to meaningful projects. It’s worth taking that step.
